Academy Award-winning actor Philip Seymour Hoffman

Academy Award-winning actor Philip Seymour Hoffman was found dead in his apartment Sunday.
Hoffman had roles in Patch Adams, Twister, Almost Famous and The Big Lebowski, but it was his role as writer Truman Capote in the biopic Capote that earned him his Oscar. He is also involved in the Hunger Games movie franchise.
Hoffman died of a suspected drug overdose. CNN reported Hoffman was found with a needle in his arm and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Hoffman had struggled with drug addiction in previous years, including a stint in rehab. He was also the subject a recent death hoax that was debunked by his representatives Saturday – the day before his body was discovered.
Hoffman was born July 23, 1967, and was nominated for four Oscars and three Tonys.
