Sand Eagles; Winner oh oh oh, winner...!!!

... how apt can I express the sound of the cheering spectators at the Eko Atlantic City, Lagos on Sunday when the Sand Eagles proved that 2013 has been a year of resounding success in Nigeria football.

In amazing my colleague and I watched the game and the crowed who sang like it s was another life music concert. 

The Nigeria SuperSand Eagles recorded a hat-trick victory of 2013 Copa Lagos Beach Soccer Tournament.

The Supersand Eagles began the defense of their title with a 7-1 demolition of Germany last Friday, but they were made to sweat as they managed to beat Lebanon 10-9 in their second duel of the tournament.

The boys went into their last game of the tournament with determination to retain the trophy for the third consecutive time.   Their effort was not in vain as they triumphed over Senegal the reigning African Champion of beach soccer with 4 goals to 2. 

The Sand Eagles however scored a total of 21 goals and conceded 12 to emerged champions of the Copa Lagos.

Apart from football, the Atlantic City was a beehive of activities with colourful branding by corporate sponsors and lots of after-party centres to give fans a dare moment. The expression  of joy was fully exploited when the Sand Eagles defeated Senegal to win the trophy. 

The razzmatazz was indeed worth it with different groups coming out in their own way to show the Nigeria love. 

 We are the champions!!!
